2014 Book Launch & Fundraiser For A Mate

The main reason I started the concept of the S*M*U*T Modelers Group was mates, good mates.
In a railfan hobby that is ever more rapidly being filled with hate and social misfits who have nothing better to do than destroy a once great interest, the idea of a whole new group spurted forth and become this.
Despite the occasional attacks from the hobbies most questionable, our small group has gone from strength to strength and we have grown, with many plans for the future.

Last night was quite possibly one of the biggest moments the group has had, with a special event to both celebrate the launch of SMUT member Roy Howarth and Glenn Ryan’s new ‘Single Deckers From Newcastle’, as well as a little fundraiser to get a gift for our dear SMUT member Ian McIntyre who is currently in hospital after a bad accident.
I would like to thank all who attended last nights big event. Not only was it a great chance to catch up with other members and a mate I have not see for two decades, it was a chance for us to do something for our mate Macca.

Do you think I could be in charge of restoring arseville station to it’s former glory?

  2. Love the updates! Hoping We can make that layout sing.

  3. The team from Bow River Publishing express their gratitude to the SMUT Group for inviting our representatives along to the meeting. The food, hospitality, lodgings and continuous laughter was much appreciated. Yes, we found all the scenes in John’s new layout that was required. Hopefully, Gonzo has washed his hands now after touching the new scenery additions.
